Hawaiian Joe's - Hawaiian Elvis Tour

Elvis PresleyAloha and welcome.

I'm Hawaiian Joe a Certified Travel Agent and Hawai'i Destination Specialist. Hawai'i, along with Graceland, was one of Elvis' favorite places and he spent a lot of time here filming his movies and just hiding out and relaxing.

He fell in love with the beautiful nature scenes of the islands, the white sandy beaches and the hospitality of the people of Hawai'i as many others do when they visit here.

You can revisit many of these areas with our Hawaiian Elvis Tour. Visit beautiful Hanauma Bay where Chad's (Elvis) beach house scenes were shot. Hanauma Bay is now a public park and marine reserve. It offers some of the finest snorkeling in Hawai'i and time will be allowed to snorkel the reefs during our Hawaiian Elvis Tour. Snorkeling gear is provided if you purchase our packet (a $75 value).

Much of Blue Hawaii was filmed on location at the Coco Palms Resort on the East shore of Kaua'i. The resort has been abandoned since Hurricane Iniki in 1992, but is now slated for redevelopment in the 2008-2009 timeframe. Elvis himself visited the resort several times after the movie, always staying in cottage number 56. Once Coco Palms reopens, it is likely to be added to our Hawaiian Elvis Tour.

Among other locations used was the Tantalus lookout overlooking Honolulu - Chad (Elvis) and his girlfriend, Maile Duval (Joan Blackman), have a picnic there early in the story. At the 2000 foot summit, there is a lookout at Puu Ualakaa State Wayside Park, with beautiful, panoramic views of Diamond Head Crater, Waikiki, Punchbowl Crater, the Manoa Valley, the University of Hawaii, the Makiki Valley, and Pearl Harbor. Our Hawaiian Elvis Tour will visit Puu Ualakaa Park. Picnic shelters are available.

On March 25, 1961 Elvis hosted a benefit concert at Pearl harbor's Bloch Arena, raising over $64,000 to erect the USS Arizona Memorial. Our Hawaiian Elvis Tour will also encompass this site.

The Blaisdell Center now has Elvis outside the building. The 6'2" life-size bronze music icon statue was unveiled on July 26, 2007 commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Kings death. Plaques that explain how his 1973 "Aloha from Hawai'i" show at the Blaisdell was a major television milestone, broadcasted live to over a billion people in over 30 countries. Our Hawaiian Elvis Tour will visit the King outside of the Blaisdell Center.

Mahalo (Thank You) for shopping Hawaiian Joe.
