Have you ever wondered why some people succeed and other's don't? I'm here to tell you that the people who succeed and earn the most money are the people who have the best products or services to provide. Honestly they do, and I'll give you some examples.

The travel industry produces $7 trillion per year. That's $7 trillion - not million, not billion, but trillion. That's a lot of zero's after the "$7" - wouldn't you agree? Why do you think Expedia was purchased for over $5 billion? What about that Orbitz sale for $1.2 billion? Why do you think Donald Trump just entered the travel industry with his new gotrump.com travel website?

The answers to all the above is simple - there is an enormous amount of money involved within the travel industry. I can tell you for a fact that the hottest trend in the business world today is - "travel" and it's only going to get better over the next 10 to 20 years. That makes it great for anyone who starts their own travel business now.

Why? Because people like to travel. Our baby-boomer populace have already started to retire, and will continue to do so over the forthcoming years at a rate of approximately one every eight seconds; and guess what they are going to do. If you guessed travel - you're right! They're not going to sit around home and wait for their life to expire according to the experts. They will be traveling, sitting on some beach, or in some resort, hopefully sipping on my delicious Hawaiian Joes Tropical Cocktail™ or something similar.

Can you visualize $7 trillion? I once tried to work it out and came up with something to the size of million's are being spent every minute to equate to the $7 trillion per year quoted. Even better for those who are in the travel business, is that all the experts are estimating that that the $7 trillion will double within the next 10 years to $14 trillion. One of the biggest reasons, to reiterate, is because one of those 1946-1964 baby-boomer's are retiring every 8 seconds.

Here and now is your golden opportunity. I'm sure most people in the beginning would give the same answer but the purpose of this article is to educate you in order to save you the loss of time and testing that most have to endure to find the right business approach.

The best way to find a unique product or service that will make you money is first to decide what you have a true interest in and enjoy doing the most if you had the time and money to do so. The trick is to find a business that, like everyone else, you are truly truly interested in - not how much money you can make. If you are like everyone else, by process of elimination you will come with the answer travel and stay on vacation.

Think about it for a minute. Most everyone works all year and saves their hard earned money just to take a two-four week vacation somewhere. So the product you choose must be something you believe in and are excited about. Most everyone likes to travel and, wouldn't you agree that, they get excited about those annual vacations that they are about to embark upon.

If you do not believe in, or get excited about the product or service you are going to provide to your customers, you will abandon the business in the early stages when you are making common mistakes in marketing. You simply will lose steam with a product or service you have no interest in personally.

Get the point? The people who are going to earn the most money are the people who have the products or services to provide that everyone in the world wants at least at some point one time per year.

Approximately 2.6 million hotel rooms are booked every day in the United States alone. Now, I ask you a simple straightforward question - wouldn't you like to have just a small share of that number? What about a bigger share? Even better what about a share of not only the hotel business, but the airlines, cruises, touring, vacation packages, car rentals and more.

Let me give you a real-life example that just took place, just this minute on December 30, 2007 on my computer, regarding the Vacation Packages part of the industry. If you take a look at my many main page of my travel website you will notice that I have a Las Vegas Orbitz Link on it. Now, I'm sitting in my cabin in Southwest Virginia preparing this letter and waiting to return to Honolulu, Hawaii in about 6 hours and I just received a couple of email's saying that two Las Vegas Vacation Packages were booked. My commission for that sale is $60 ($30 x 2) for providing a link for Orbitz on my website. On hotels I normally get 5% commission from Hotels.com. I also just made another $10.00 for 2 Hotel Bookings in San Antonio, Texas at $100 each. ($5.00 per client x 2 hotel room sales x 1 night).

Now you might be saying - $10.00 is not that much - nor is the $60 commission. But consider this - multiply that $70.00 x 100 this week and what do you get. Even better, multiply $70.00 x 10,000 this year and let me know what you come up with. I haven't even begun telling you that, on average you make approximately 20% on each cruise package that is sold; all of which are excellent returns for just providing a website that your customers can shop on for their vacation or travel arrangements. I now have over 100 website's devoted just to the Travel Industry. Plus, approximately another 100 website's devoted to other adventures.

In the past few minutes since I've been revamping this article, I keep hearing my e-mail inbox ding and ding. I glanced over, and I see bookings just made with Enterprise Car Rentals, in another email I see bookings made with Hawaiian Airlines, still another with Delta Airlines and more. I cannot stop the travel emails from flooding my inbox. I'm just a small minnow in a very very very large pond that aspires to be a whale.

Every second someone somewhere is wanting to do something that is travel related - I really love those baby-boomers like myself. And what makes it so great is now days, most people will book their own travel themselves on the internet - this is what has put all the independent travel agencies out of business over the last several years. People are just looking to save money and would rather do it themselves. So, all you have to do is provide a vehicle for them to do it with like your travel website that I'm going to provide for you once you come onboard.

So, to determine the type of people that would be interested in buying your product or service. Referring back to my previous example when you told me your interest were cooking. If you decide to publish a cookbook, you know your biggest niche market will be people interested in cooking. A work-a-holic who grabs a pizza or runs through a drive-through at McDonald's would not be a likely individual to purchase your cookbook. Nor would students who live in college dorms since their cooking facilities are normally very small. But, that work-a-holic or student may be interested in that cruise this winter that they seen on your website. My suggestion is to publish your own travel website for now and write the cookbook at your leisure while cruising around yourself.

So, if you were to choose the travel and tour industry, then virtually everyone on the planet is your potential customer. That's everyone in the United States, Japan, Korea, Germany, Australia, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. Get the picture? That's millions being spent every minute or $7 trillion a year - and to reiterate, that number is only expected to climb in the forthcoming future to $14 trillion. Wouldn't it be nice to finally hear your inbox ding and ding. Hey folks, I keep my speakers on my computers turned up loud so I can here those dings - It makes me feel good.
